The most powerful and easy to use HID Personal Searchlight available. AE Xenides are capable of illuminating targets up to 3000' using proprietary HID technology. The design criteria was based on the needs of law enforcement, border patrol, fire departments, marine/coast guard, and other public and private security organizations. However, these powerful lights are ideal for camping, hunting, boating, and can be seen for miles if assistance is needed.
Commonly referred to as Xenon these powerful lights are in fact Metal Halide. The name Xenide (zen-ide) is derived from the words Xenon, (Xen), an inert gas with cleansing properties used in the arc chamber and Halide (ide), the metal salts added to the arc chamber that vaporize when charged with electricity to create the light plasma.
The extreme bright light produced by these searchlights makes target identification and colors easy to distinguish. The focused beam results in more lumens per watt on your target than ordinary high power flashlights. The beam is 3-4' in diameter at 2000' allowing adequate peripheral vision of outlaying areas.
Rechargeable lithium ion batteries deliver power for over two hours. Unlike ordinary flashlights that use alkaline or metal hydride batteries, Lithium ion batteries hold their charge much longer allowing AE Xenides to be used immediately even after prolonged storage. The rugged aluminum light body is sturdy, but not heavy. Rubberized lens and end caps help absorb shock if dropped or mishandled. With the form factor of a flashlight, these HID searchlights can be used in self defense. Shining the powerful beam into an attacker's eyes may cause extreme disorientation.
